Parents
Parents are welcome at all times and strong emphasis is placed on establishing a good rapport between parents and staff.
We share in your child's care, education and development and staff are available when you leave and collect your child to discuss any queries or concerns you may have, and to update on his or her progress.
Supplementary to this we provide 'going home books' to enable parents to write comments or relevant information about their child and for nursery staff to note a little of what they have been doing during the day and any achievement/ progress being made.
We produce regular newsletters and 'Activities at Home' sheet to let you know what is happening at the nursery, future events and themes and ideas on how to reinforce their learning at home.
Formal reports are written for the 3-4 year olds with regard to their development and progression under the Early Learning Goals and parents' evenings are available to discuss these.
To safeguard the children, at the end of the day your child will only be released into your care. If on occasion you wish to make special arrangements for collection by another party, please speak to the nursery supervisor in advance and complete an authorisation form.
Physical punishment in any form is not permitted and a copy of our discipline policy is available on request, as are details of our equal opportunities policy.
